People-to-People Tea Party: Nassau & Paradise Island

Available from 3-4 p.m. on the last Friday of each month, January through May and October and November.

Attend a tea party at the historic Government House in Nassau, and be greeted by the Governor General.  The tea is hosted by various prominent Bahamian women.  Enjoy local bush teas, live music, view a fashion show by local designers and sample locally made sandwiches and pastries.  Admission is Free.


Creative Nassau Market

Year Round: Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Pompey Square

This biweekly market showcases a wide range of 'true true' Bahamian handmade products for sale, including straw items, jewelry, paintings, ceramics, music, clothing, pet wares, local fruit popsicles and drinks, and so much more!

It is organized by "Creative Nassau" in collaboration with the Downtown Nassau Partnership. Creative Nassau is a non-profit organization which obtained the prestigious UNESCO Creative Cities designation for the City of Nassau as a City of Crafts and Folk Arts in 2014.


Cricket Matches

Games are played every Saturday and Sunday from March to November

Changing of the Guard

A tradition since 1958, the Ceremony features the world-renowned Royal Bahamas Police Force Marching Band and Royal Bahamas Defense Force Guards. It is held every other Friday throughout the year, at 12:30pm. Venue is Government House. Contact: Government House / (242) 322-2020




Discover Club Land'or

The Pompey MuseumThis museum was once an auction site for slaves in the 18th century. It now displays artifacts, historical documents and drawings which recount the history of slavery and emancipation in The Bahamas. The Pompey Museum hours are 10:00am to 4:30pm.


Paradise Island offers a world of fun, all within walking distance from Club Land'or. From the Atlantis Casino (the largest in the Caribbean) and Water Park, to Cabbage Beach, you will find fun for the whole family.

And just a quick ferry ride away (departs across the street) is Nassau, with the famous Straw Market, Potter's Cay, Bay Street Shops, and so much more.

Club Land'or is located in the heart of Paradise Island,  the heart of the action, the heart of all the fun that the Bahamas has to offer.

Ardastra GardensThe Ardastra Gardens and Zoo are home to the famous marching flamingos, where hundreds of animals and birds live on five and a half acres of tropical tranquility. Show times are 11:00am, 2:00pm and 4:00pm. Ardastra is open everyday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.


Cloister GardensThese spectacular gardens, located on the grounds of the One and Only Ocean Club, feature fountains, waterfalls and bronze and marble statues. A rebuilt Augustinian monastery from the 13th century known as The Cloisters sits adjacent to the property and is a popular locale for weddings.


The Pirates of NassauAn interactive environment that will fascinate and thrill adults and children alike. Visitors will always remember being transported back to the Golden Age of Piracy.
